What is the Wood County Park District? A natural resources conservation agency with twenty-one parks & nature preserves around Wood County, Ohio.
My Impact:
1. Enhanced community outreach by creating promotional materials such as the quarterly 'Oak Leaf', which was sent out to 300+ residents of Bowling Green and neighboring cities.
2. Strengthened public awareness through monthly program e-newsletters sent out to over 4,000 people.
3. Wrote and sent press releases regarding park programs, leading to boosted program attendance.
My Responsibilities:
Design - designed monthly newsletters (volunteer newsletter & general interest program newsletter) to send to over 4,000 contacts, designed social media posts and graphics for outreach programs, designed outreach materials such as invites and flyers, designed marketing materials such as banners, tablecloths, and more.
Outreach - attended outreach events with the community to solidify branding and increase awareness of the Wood County Park District and their mission. Also traveled to, set up, and tore down for said events. Created and sent out press releases to the press.
Photography - took high quality photographs of the Wood County Parks as needed and outreach events among the community, used these photographs for social media posts and other general marketing use.
Press/Print - created various press releases to send to contacts regarding monthly events. Designed various graphics & edited the 'Oak-Leaf' for Fall 2024, then mailed them out to members of the community.
Along with the above, at the Wood County Park District, I have gained more skills with email communications, creating graphics with InDesign and Illustrator, meeting volunteers and people of the community and coordinating with them, and much more. Below are examples of work I have done.

Pictured are presentation slides I created for marketing use among employees with the goal of staying consistent in branding.
These are stickers that I designed for an outreach program called the Native Plant Sale. These were made to go on the front of seed packets. I designed these, used word to make sure the margins were correct, and printed them on labels.
These plant-filled designs are currently used for the 'Friends of the Parks' display boards for their outreach programs.
I was tasked with creating the image on the left for a volunteer banquet presentation and banner.
